From April 10 to 14, the Aerospace Museum hosted the Second festival of documentary films about space, Space DocFest, timed with the Cosmonautics day.

This year, the festival program was expanded and divided into three blocks: the contest show, a special screening of Roscosmos television studio movies, and a children's animation program. The competitive program of the festival included more than 20 films by the authors from all over Russia, produced in the last three years.

Besides the competition program, the festival program included a discussion "Space in the contemporary Russian cinema" with the producers and screenwriters of the upcoming movies "Time of the first ones" (producer Yuri Bykov) and "Salyut-7" (screenwriters Alexei Samoletov, Natalia Merkulova and Alexey Chupov).

The participants and organizers of the festival acknowledge that such events increase the interest in space research in general, as well as in the issues of the current state and the future of the national cosmonautics.
