April 23, 2015, 08:39 GMT
30% of the necessary equipment has been assembled at Vostochny cosmodrome in the 59 rooms of the launch complex; the assembly of the launch equipment and gas service system and fuelling with cryogenic and high-boiling propellant components are still in progress.
52 special technical equipment systems have been set up in the launch complex; FSUE TsENKI division Launch Complex Research Center is responsible for 29 of them. In particular, the air-liquid system of temperature and humidity control aboard the carrier rocket has been assembled. The assembly of fire-fighting systems is in its final stage; the compressor station and the service booth of Soyuz-2 carrier rocket are being prepared for commissioning. All the equipment was manufactured by Russian enterprises specially for Vostochny cosmodrome: Tyazhmash company (Syzran), Industrial Technologies company (Severodvinsk), Armature design office (FSUE Khrunichev Research and Production Center division ), Uralcryomash company (Nizhny Tagil), Cryogenmash company (Balashikha), SKB Orion company (St. Petersburg).
Head of FSUE TsENKI division Vostochny Space Center Dmitry Matveichev, notes, “The launch complex is a technologically complicated object of the cosmodrome, designed for space rocket launches. Every stage of assembly is important, starting from employee recruiting to autonomous and complex tests. We monitor daily the quality and the deadlines of work”. About 350 assembly workers from Industrial Technologies company, Special Trust #1 company, Spetsmashmontazh company, Cryogenmontazh company, and Altair assembly and technology administration participate in the launch complex construction. Most workers also assembled the equipment at Plesetsk and Baikonur cosmodromes, as well as in French Guiana. The assembly experts work under the constant supervision of the TsENKI technological team and representatives of the manufacturing enterprises. The equipment designers are responsible for the author supervision.
The construction of Vostochny cosmodrome in Amur region is implemented upon the Russian president’s decree of November 6, 2007, and upon the resolution of the Russian Government of January 14, 2009.
