Media Materials Usage Guidelines

Roscosmos text, photo, audio and video materials (hereinafter - media materials) are available for free use and distribution for purposes, that do not mean a direct or indirect commercial and political benefit-sharing. The authors, who intend to use media materials in accordance with this policy, may not apply for the permission of the State Corporation, but are obliged to indicate Roscosmos as a source.

Roscosmos may decide to restrict the use of some media materials. Such materials will contain relevant information on the limitation of distribution.

Roscosmos website can contain media materials, protected by copyright. In this case, Roscosmos notifies the site users about these restrictions, indicating the authorship of the media. The using of media materials with copyright protection by Roscosmos does not mean that this right passes to users of Roscosmos website. The user shall discuss the question of using the copyrighted media together with the author of the media material.

The Roscosmos logo in any inscription variant and in any relative location of corporate font and sign (a stylized missile launch with the background of the graphic image of the orbit) can not be used without the permission from State Coorporation if it is not an element, integrated by Roscosmos as a part of broadcast or if it's not an end product of Roscosmos.

The using of Roscosmos media materials for promotional, commercial or political purposes is possible only with Roscosmos permission or with its participation on the following terms:

• If there is an image of a person in the frame, who can be uniquely determined, it is necessary to request permission to use these materials from this person;
• Media materials that contain images of Roscosmos cosmonaut team members, Roscosmos staff or rocket and space industry enterprises cannot be used in commercial or political materials without the corresponding decision of Roscosmos CEO.

Roscosmos cooperates with producers of art, documentary films, television programs, etc. only if the project already has appropriate funding and arrangements for distribution/display of the product. The decision on the degree of Roscosmos participation, the possibility of shooting at Roscosmos sites or usage of ready-made media materials is taken by the State Corporation exclusively in the interests of the rocket and space industry.
