Mission Control Center finalized Soyuz MS-15 launch preparations
TsNIIMash Mission Control Center has finalized the scheduled works to prepare the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft low Earth orbit injection and its further docking to the International Space Station. According to the Mission Control Center calculations, the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft is scheduled for September 25, 2019, at 13:57:43 UTC.
The Chief Operating Control Group of the Russian segment of the ISS will take over the flight control after the ship separation from the third stage of the Soyuz-FG carrier rocket. The estimated orbit insertion time is 14:06:31 UTC.
The broadcast of the launch will be available in Roscosmos VK official community starting from 13:00 UTC on September 25, 2019.
Soyuz MS-15 international crew consists of the ISS-61/62/EP-19 long-term mission members: Oleg Skripochka of Roscosmos, Jessica Meir of NASA, and Hazza Al Mansouri (UAE). The current ISS crew including Alexey Ovchinin and Alexander Skvortsov of Roscosmos, Christina Koch and Andrew Morgan of NASA and Luca Parmitano of ESA (European Space Agency) are getting ready to welcome their colleagues.
Soyuz MS-15 approach to the ISS and berthing to the Zvezda service module is planned to be performed automatically under control of the Chief Operating Control Group of the Russian segment of the ISS at the Mission Control Center and the Russian crewmembers of the spacecraft and the ISS. The docking is scheduled to take place at 19:45 UTC.
