Progress MS-15 rolled out to the launchpad

Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-15 cargo spacecraft preflight preparations are finalizing at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. On July 20, 2020, in accordance with the State Commission decision, the rocket was rolled out to the Site No. 31 launchpad.

 

The rocket was rolled out from the integration and testing facility at the Site No. 31 launchpad at 02:30 UTC and verticalized with the service structures drawn to the rocket. After that, Roscosmos enterprises’ specialists started the first launch day works. Today the autonomous tests of the freighter, rocket and launching complex systems and mechanisms are conducted with the telemetry being processed and analyzed.

 

On July 23, 2020, the State Commission meeting will take place to clear the rocket for fueling and launching. The launch is scheduled for July 23, 2020 at 14:26:22 UTC. The flight itself will be a double-revolution one with the docking to the Russian segment expected at 17:47:52 UTC ± 3 minutes.

 

Progress MS-15 is to deliver to the ISS propellant and gas supplies with a total mass of 600 kg, as well as 1,520 kg of various equipment and cargo, including hardware for onboard control and life support systems, kits for space experiments, sanitary and hygienic materials, articles of clothing, medical supplies, standard food ratios, as well as 420 liters of water in the Rodnik system tanks.
