Two Ekspress satellites injected into orbit
On July 30, 2020, at 21:25:19 UTC the Proton-M carrier rocket with Briz-M booster and Ekspress-103 and Ekpress-80 successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Proton active flight stage lasted for 587 seconds with the orbital assembly was injected into suborbital trajectory.
After that, Briz-M booster started injecting the spacecraft into final orbits. The injection required five routine engine impulses. On July 31, 2020, at 15:24 UTC the Ekspress-80 spacecraft separated from Briz-M booster at the final orbit with Ekspress-103 separating at 15:41 UTC. Both Russian telecommunication satellites have been accepted for control by the customer.
Ekspress-80 and Ekspress-103 are Russian medium class telecommunication satellites based on Ekspress-1000N platform and built by ISS Reshetnev company. The satellites are meant to provide fixed and mobile communication, digital TV, high-speed Internet access, as well as data transmission across Russia and CIS countries in C-, Ku- and L-bands. The spacecraft service life is expected to be not less than 15 years.
